Trash Animals

This collection of three garbage animal paintings were created to honor some of my favorite animals, the underappreciated misfits that I love.

Why is there an arbitrary line drawn between the cute, acceptable animals and the ones seen as a nuisance or a pest? Just because they don't fit the image of what's popular, doesn't mean they are any less deserving.

I hope that you enjoy these little monsters as much as I do, and remember that just because someone might be a misfit who likes to eat garbage sometimes, it doesn't make them any less loveable and beautiful!

Did you know that opossums are immune to rabies and eat harmful pests like ticks?

Most people aren't thrilled to see a skunk near them, with good reason. But skunks are gentle pacifists who will always warn you before they spray. Plus, they eat garden pests in large numbers.

Raccoons are seen as tricksters, but they are clever natural scavengers and help to maintain a healthy environment. Just try to keep them out of your trash cans.
