This pen and ink piece was created back in 2016 as part of a local group art show around the theme "Cute and Rude." I wanted to create something playful that was still semi-realistic, and ended up with this goofy bear. :P 

I had a small print run made of this bear after I created it, but I wanted to do it better justice this time around with these prints that are bigger, brighter, and a much closer representation of how the original piece looked.

These are available now in either 11"x14" (large) or 5"x7" (small).

I started this pair of paintings at the lunar new year to ring in the year of the tiger, working on them a little at a time as I explored adding all the intricate patterns and details you see surrounding them. 

I loved working on this set. To me, they symbolize bravery and new beginnings, and encapsulate my growth and development as an artist. 

These paintings were created on recycled canvas with professional quality acrylic paint.

The shifting patterns in the backgrounds contain lots of little metallic silver accents that are impossible to capture in any one photo, but bring the piece to life in person.
